The Fire Brigade Exercice

On May 24 and 25 in Venzone (Udine), an area affected by the 1976 earthquake where partially collapsed and heavily damaged buildings were deliberately preserved, fifty firefighters from the Veneto Region took part in a simulation activity.

As an integral part of the training program “Technical triage for the assessment and treatment of structural criticality due to seismic events”, aimed to master an analysis method leading to uniform and shared post-earthquake risk assessments, the simulation activity is an opportunity to enrich the theoretical knowledge, acquired a few weeks earlier, and to familiarize with innovative technologies, in particular specifically designed IT tools.
